Parlor Policy


Here at The Spaw we value our clients and their support. We strive on providing the most holistic and client focused experience for all. To keep business running smoothly, we do have a few guidelines we stand by to better serve our clients.

 

1. Kindly arrive to your appointment at the time scheduled. No earlier and no later. Appointments are booked accordingly for the day and an early or late arrival can affect the days schedule. 

 

2. If there is a client in the parlor please do NOT come in until I am ready for you. We are a one on one grooming parlor. We do not have a waiting room. We do not have kennels that keep pets seperated and some of our clients do not interact well with others. 

 

3. If you will be late, kindly call or text 403-597-7423. Unfortunately if you are late by 20 minutes or more, your appointment will need to be rescheduled. 

 

4. When picking up your fur baby from their appointment, PLEASE wait for a text saying they are done. Showing up early and coming into the parlor during a groom makes it difficult to complete as they are excited to see you and think they are done.

 

5. We do NOT allow anybody to stay during the appointment. This not only affects the bond between groomer and pet, but also creates an unsafe environment. 

 

6. Please come prepared with method of payment and pay at pick up. We may be home based but we run the same as any other businesses in town. 

 

7. Unfortunately being only one person at the parlor, I cannot accept XXL breeds, pets that are grooming aggressive, or require assistance standing, getting into the tub or onto the table. These situations require more than one person to complete a safe groom. 

 

8. When trying to contact the parlor, understand that there is no receptionist working the phone. If your call or text is not answered it is because I am busy with a client. Leave a voicemail or text and I will respond as soon as possible. 

 

9. Please do not expect me to work after hours. I do my best to accomodate schedules when I can, but understand that I also have a family with a schedule. 

Parlor hours are; Monday to Thursday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. 

If these hours do not work for your schedule I completely understand and I am more than willing to recommend another grooming salon that may be able to support you better. 

 

10. If it has been more than a year since your last visit to the parlor, your file will be cleared and you will be considered a new client. Your spot will be filled with someone on our waiting list. 

Currently I am not accepting new clientele. 

 

11. Please be advised that the parlor can close at any given moment due to an emergency, fleas, lice, etc. These situations are out of my control and your appointment will need to be rescheduled. I do my best to reschedule in a timely manner. If the rescheduled time slot does not work for you or it is too long to wait then I completely understand if you need to go somewhere else for a quicker appointment date. 

This being said. If your pet is showing signs of unusual or excessive itching please look them over thoroughly for lice or fleas before bringing them for their appointment. Failure to do so affects not only myself but also appointments booked for the day. 

 

12. Please try your best to avoid being a NO SHOW. I am very understanding and get that things pop up or you forgot. Kindly contact me via text or call, 403-597-7423 and let me know that you won't be able to make it so I can fill the appointment slot. I do NOT charge a no show fee. 

 

13. A confirmation text is sent out the day before your appointment. Kindly reply "C" to confirm or let me know if you need to reschedule. No response will be considered a cancellation and your spot will be filled with someone on the cancellation list.
